She’s not afraid of the taboo and pushing boundaries in her work, nor taking the unexpected twists and turns that keep readers on their toes. Many themes she likes to explore include the forbidden, the violent, and intimately sensual. She’s intrigued by power imbalances, whether it be through wealth or age or physical force. But she never leaves that imbalance alone, always looking for ways to flip it on its head.

Most importantly, she writes heroines that are strong in ways that aren’t simply physical, but emotionally deep, and brilliantly clever, solving their problems with love instead of fear (and creating just as many problems because of it too).

Born and raised in the Midwest, many of her stories are still inspired by its people and landscape. But she is currently stationed in New York’s Hudson Valley and is on a mission to see the world while she continues writing nonstop.

She’s a coffee addict, a vegan, and a runner. But when it comes down to it, she’s nothing more than a hopeless romantic dreaming up love stories in her head that would be horror stories in real life.
